I am delighted and excited to work as a Visiting Professor of Practice at Harvard Graduate School of Education from January 1st, 2014 for the period of three semesters. My teaching focuses on high performing education systems and how we can (or shouldn’t) learn from them. It will include transportability of educational change ideas, teachers education, professionalism and leadership, and impact of global educational reform movement on teaching and learning around the world. My spring semester classes will be on Wednesday afternoons.
I look forward to work with inspiring colleagues and students at the HGSE. I also hope that I will learn more about education policies and reforms in the U.S. and that I could be part of the global dialogue of making our public school systems healthier and safer. On my desk are second revised edition draft of Finnish Lessons and its sequel that has no name yet.
