Uncomfortable conversations with Josh Szeps

What’s the purpose of school? Why do we run schools the way we do? How might we reinvent education in an era of artificial intelligence and ADHD?

I sat down with Josh Szeps to discuss radical ideas in teaching, learning, play, discipline, devices, and how to view school from the perspective of a child. Josh says that the world has never been more connected, yet never more divided. We yell at each other from inside our echo chambers. But change doesn’t happen inside an echo chamber. Josh invited me to have an uncomfortable conversation with him. I found myself having one of the most pleasant and respectful conversations for a long time. He is genuinely curious about how the world works from various vantage points, including how we should educate our kids in such a messy world we live in at the moment.

Listen our conversation here or watch it on YouTube. And you’re missing out on our best ad-free content if you haven’t popped over to the Uncomfy Convos Substack page.
